Belltown vs Lower Queen Anne?
I am planning on moving up to Seattle from Los Angeles in about a month. And, from what I've been reading and what people have told me, Belltown and Lower Queen Anne is a great place to live. Not to mention, I discovered that both neighborhoods would be close to where my new job will be. So, I would like to get a native Seattleite's opinion on the two areas and which is safer, quieter, and is walkable to grocery stores, shopping, dining..etc. I appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks!
Grocery stores - yikes neither of them would be walkable.
I would pick Queen Anne but it really depends on which part of Lower Queen Anne. If you are on the city side then yes, there is a Safeway that would proably be convenient. If you are on the SPU side then shopping may be a bit more challenging since walking to the top of the hill is a bit difficult and getting to Fremont's PCC would be a bit long.
I would pick lower Queen Anne closer to the city. Dining, nightlife, bars, grocery stores, gym etc would be ideal.
