How to price a wash table?
I have a marble-top wash table with one wooden tiled splash board. It's on turned legs with castors and has one central cupboard. I think the wood is oak. Not sure of the period, maybe Edwardian or Victorian. I'm going to take a photo and show to a few traders, but can anyone recommend any good books or websites where I could identify it by features and cost it that way?
Don't trust traders, Some of them are OK, but their out to make money like alot of people. Telephone somewhere like Phillips in Bond street or one of the other main auction houses. If they can't help you themselves they may be able to give you advice about where to go.
